Dawn Kalmar

Dawn Kalmar is the chief communications officer at Stoke Therapeutics where she is responsible for corporate communications, investor relations, government affairs and patient advocacy. Dawn has deep experience across all aspects of communications for biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Prior to joining Stoke, Dawn was vice president, corporate communications at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and before that she held communications roles of increasing responsibility at Genentech. She has led communications and advocacy relations for the FDA approvals and launches of multiple first-in-class and breakthrough medicines for people with serious diseases. Dawn has a keen interest in corporate culture, having developed and led important employee communications and engagement initiatives throughout her career. Dawn has a B.S. in Journalism from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
